Master Student

Felicity Collins (She/Her/Hers) is from Kehewin Cree Nation, located in Treaty 6 territory, and is a visitor on the unceded, traditional, ancestral, and occupied homelands of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam) First Nation. She is currently a second-year student in the Dual Master of Archival Studies, and Library and Information Studies (MASLIS) program. Felicity’s research focus is on Indigenous data sovereignty and examining what processes need to be considered in order to have First Nations take on their own data and information management from a First Nations lens. The use of Blockchain technology is one process to be considered, especially in determining the viability and usability of said technology to open up opportunities for First Nations to move towards Indigenous data sovereignty.
