We are delighted to host Dr. Roberto García and Dr. Rosa Gil, distinguished scholars from the Universitat de Lleida in Spain. Today, at UBC's Terrace Lab, they presented their research titled 'Data Spaces and Sovereignty by Design: A Proof of Concept in Agriculture.' Their work highlights a value-sensitive design approach within the Data Spaces Initiative, clearly demonstrating how it safeguards data originators by ensuring their data is used without being copied or distributed without consent.
