On Sep 4th, researchers at Blockchain@UBC participated in the 2nd Cyber Revolution Conference and remotely presented their research. Professor Victoria Lemieux presented an overview of her research and the education programs at Blockchain@UBC; Dr. Chang Lu presented his research on Blockchain adoption in pharmaceutical firms, particularly from the perspective of institutional logics. Next, Dr. Chris Rowell demonstrated his recent work in designing Blockchain education programs for CPAs; and Dr. Paul Blomerus showcased the exciting work in the area of Blockchain + clean energy. Finally, Ph.D. candidates Darra Hoffman and Danielle Avles Batista gave a strong ending to our presence by presenting their pioneering research in genomics and smart contract.
