Amirreza Ghasemi received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. His thesis was about the prediction of time series with machine learning, especially its application in the stock market. He has started the MASc program in electrical and computer engineering at the University of British Columbia, in 2020. His research interests are smart grids, renewable energies, blockchain and machine learning. He is interested in the application of smart contracts in the implementation of a trading energy platform. Additionally, He is interested in the application of blockchain in electric vehicles, microgrids, and distributed energy resources. The topic of his MASc thesis is about the applications of blockchain and machine learning in the smart grids and clean energy, under the supervision of Professor Juri Jatskevich.
