Christian Koch is a second-year student in the Dual Master of Archival Studies & Library Information Studies (MASLIS) program, and is a visitor on the unceded, traditional, ancestral, and occupied homelands of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam) First Nation. His research interests focus on how blockchain technologies can be harnessed for social good while incorporating information governance and archival best practices to better safeguard records leveraging those systems. He is currently the Systems Analyst at Landano, a decentralized finance (DeFi) project seeking to empower Ghanaian land owners to assert their constitutional land rights by formaalizing poorly recorded customary land allocation processes and creating legally admissible records.
