Meng Kang is currently an M.A.Sc student in Electrical Engineering supervised by Dr.Zheng Liu. His research interests include machine learning, data anomaly detection, and blockchain technology. For the research on blockchain and distributed ledgers, he focuses on using Hyperledger Indy building digital rights management (DRM) system to prevent unauthorized secondary use of data. Since the Hyperledger Indy provides a blockchain-based distributed digital identity (DID) solution, its technical capabilities have the potential to solve the ‘Data Double Spending’problem. This research helps protect data owners and consumers from the unauthorized use of secondary data.
