Abstract

SafeCoin is a fast and efficient Proof-of-Stake blockchain built using the Solana code base. SafeCoin was designed with security, sustainability and utility in mind and develops everything open-source with accessibility and decentralization at the forefront. Solana’s unique multi-threaded architecture and Proof-of-History protocol is implemented in the SafeCoin network, providing the ability to process 65,000+ transactions per second. With the power of multi-threading and our modified consensus, SafeCoin is arguably the world's most energy- efficient cryptocurrency using ~0.0000027kWh per transaction. By implementing a more efficient consensus, better participation of block production for a lower stake amount is achieved. This makes SafeCoin 836.6 million times more energy-efficient than Bitcoin and even 100 times more efficient than Solana. Furthermore, by improving the compression of the network, the requirements to run a validator are reduced by 80%, allowing nearly anyone to participate in the network. This allows for higher diversification of validating nodes around the globe, increasing decentralization.
