Quantum-Safe Blockchain

Wires, photo credit: William Bout

Current blockchain systems build upon cryptographic techniques such as hash functions and digital signatures. However, many of these techniques will no longer be safe in the era of quantum computing, making blockchain vulnerable to quantum attacks.

To address this challenge, the project is to develop quantum-safe cryptographic techniques based on Dr. Feng’s previous research on lattices and quantum security. This research project will create blockchain systems against quantum attacks.
