Abstract

As healthcare data sharing continues to expand, ensuring patient privacy and proper consent has never been more crucial. This talk will explore how blockchain technology can improve consent management, giving patients greater control and security over their health data. To mitigate the risk of exposing sensitive information, we will discuss how privacy-preserving technologies (PETs) can work alongside blockchain to create a secure, private, and trustworthy healthcare data-sharing ecosystem. We will also introduce SecureConsent, a platform designed to empower patients with transparent and secure genomic data sharing.
